Unfold Walls is a wallpaper app for iPhone. It has no accounts, no ads and no tracking across other apps or websites. This page explains the little data it does handle, why, and what you can do about it.
Unfold Walls is made by ArveLabs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, which is the data controller for the app and this website. You can reach us at info@ogydigital.com.
The short version
- We never ask for your name, email, contacts or location.
- The app can only add images to Photos. It can't see your library.
- Apple handles every payment. We never see your card details.
- We collect anonymous usage events to improve the app. They aren't linked to you and are never used for advertising.
- We don't sell or share data with advertisers or data brokers.
Photos
When you save a pair, the app asks for permission to add photos. This is iOS's add-only access: the app can put the cover and inside images into an album called Unfold Walls, and that's all. It can't read, browse or upload anything from your photo library. The saved images stay on your device and in your iCloud Photos if you use it.
Subscriptions and purchases
Purchases are made through the App Store and processed by Apple. To check whether you have Pro and to restore it on a new phone, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives:
- a random ID created by the app on your device (not your Apple Account or any personal identifier),
- your App Store purchase receipts: which plan, when it started, renews or ended, and the price and currency,
- basic technical details such as the app version, iOS version, device model and country.
We use this only to unlock what you paid for, handle trials, renewals and refunds, and understand how many people subscribe. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
Usage analytics
The app may send anonymous events to PostHog, an analytics service, using its servers in the European Union. Events describe how the app is used, for example: which screen was opened, which pair was viewed or saved, whether the preview was played, whether the paywall was shown and whether a purchase started or finished. Each event carries the random app ID, the app and iOS version, the device model (including whether it's an iPhone Duo) and an approximate country.
Events contain no photos, names, emails or precise location. We use them to find what's confusing, which pairs people like and whether changes help. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the app. We keep analytics events for up to 24 months.
New wallpapers
Some pairs may be downloaded from our content server rather than shipped inside the app. As with any web request, that server sees your IP address for the moment it takes to send the images. We don't use it to identify you.
Emails to support
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and keep the conversation for up to 2 years in case you write again.
This website
This website uses DataFast to count visits: which pages are viewed, the site you came from, your approximate country, and your device and browser type. DataFast sets a first-party cookie to tell new visitors from returning ones. We use this only to see how people find Unfold Walls and which pages help. It isn't used for advertising, and you can block it with any content blocker without affecting the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security, for a short period.

Where data is processed outside the UK, it's protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent safeguards. Each provider acts on our instructions and can't use the data for its own purposes.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how it's used, and move it elsewhere. Write to info@ogydigital.com. Because the app doesn't know who you are, we may ask for details that help us find your data, such as when you subscribed. We reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or your local data protection authority.
Children
Unfold Walls is suitable for everyone, but it isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll also say so in the app.
